STANDARD SIZES HIGH CUBE DD, OT & OS REEFER

Refrigerated Container Sizes

Refrigerated containers, also known as reefers, come in a variety of sizes to accommodate the needs of different businesses. The most common size is the 20-foot, which can hold up to 28,000 pounds of cargo. 40-foot are also widely used, and can hold up to 56,000 pounds. For businesses that need to transport large quantities of perishable goods, or goods that require a controlled environment, larger sizes are sometimes available, including 45-foot and 53-foot containers.

Reefers are a type of intermodal container that is specifically designed to store and transport temperature-sensitive goods. Unlike conventional containers, reefers are equipped with an insulated walls, door, and floor, as well as a refrigeration unit that can maintain a constant temperature. This makes them ideal for transporting perishable goods, such as food or pharmaceuticals, over long distances. Reefer containers can also be equipped with a number of features that help to protect their contents from damage, such as moisture-resistant liners, humidity control, self-contained power supply, ventilation features, and LED lighting. As a result, they are an essential tool for anyone who needs to transport temperature-sensitive goods.

Reefer Mods

A variety of modifications can be made to reefer containers to ensure that they meet the specific needs of the goods they will be transporting. For example, the cooling unit can be adjusted to maintain a higher or lower temperature, and the container can be outfitted with additional shelves or racks. Reefer containers can also be equipped with sensors that monitor the temperature and humidity inside the container, as well as the level of CO2. These modifications help to ensure that perishable goods stay fresh during transport.
